Position Summary A Sales Officer for IT Equipment is responsible for selling a wide range of IT hardware products and services to businesses and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of IT products and solutions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships to achieve sales targets.
Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details) Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify potential clients and businesses in need of IT equipment and solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest IT equipment, software, and technology trends to effectively educate clients and make product recommendations.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase the benefits and features of IT products and solutions.
  • Quoting and Proposals: Coordinate with Pre Sales Team to generate accurate price quotes and proposals for clients, addressing their specific needs and requirements.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure sales and meet revenue targets.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Client Needs Assessment: Identify client needs and challenges, offering tailored IT solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Forecasting: Create sales forecasts, track progress, and report on sales performance to management.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities, competitors, and market trends.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client communications.
  • Reporting: Generate regular sales reports and updates for management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in IT sales or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
