Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and expanding the business footprint in the assigned region. The role demands a strategic leader who can develop and execute effective sales strategies while managing and mentoring a team to meet and exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals for the assigned region.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the diagnostic/pathology lab segment.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to align sales efforts.
- Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance.
- Set and monitor sales targets for team members, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and offer actionable feedback.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, and diagnostic labs.
- Address client needs promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Business Development
- Identify potential clients and establish partnerships to expand the client base.
- Promote the company’s diagnostic solutions, tests, and services effectively.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create tailored campaigns and promotions.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and submit periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of sales experience in the healthcare, diagnostics, or pathology lab industry.
- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in managing and leading a sales team.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
- Other:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
- In-depth knowledge of pathology lab services and diagnostic products.
